The ‘Glen Room’ as it is to be known is our newest space and what a success it has been for the whole congregation and the wider community. We were delighted to receive a grant of £15,000 from the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council which combined with a generous bequest from a congregation member and significant financial support from the congregation has made this scheme possible.

The provision of this space was essentially based around the growth of our ‘Youth & Children’s work’, and it most certainly has proved an asset in that important work. However, in the short period of time that it has been operational there is growing evidence that it is being used for a wider range of activities particularly by young adults and seniors.

The facility has proved to be extremely beneficial to the Saturday meetings of Young Life Capernaum which caters for young people with additional needs. It will also prove to be a useful base for the new Young Adults [over 18’s] group which is being set up and will meet on Saturday evenings.

Moving forward we anticipate increasing use of the ‘Glen Room’ facility as we continue to extend our outreach throughout the local community of Moneyreagh, Crossnacreevy and beyond.

If anyone would like to use the facility please contact us through our Facebook page.
